Ever thought that “wheelchair accessible” simply isn’t enough when you’re looking for a good holiday destination?

The people at Holistic Thinking Holidays think so. That’s why they have gone above and beyond to design their holiday homes completely around wheelchair users, including lower countertops, wet rooms, hoist systems and level access throughout.

The latest addition to their holiday homes is our Sandpiper beach wheelchair, purchased for each of their two current locations at Haven resorts - Caister-on-Sea and Burnham-on-Sea.

The Sandpiper is the smaller version of our Sandcruiser beach wheelchair - an ideal addition to these resorts as the holiday homes have been designed primarily with the families of disabled children in mind.

These chairs are weather and salt-water resistant, are made of easy to clean materials and have UV-resistant fabric. They are equipped with the iconic air-filled WheelEEZ balloon beach wheels, made of thick, puncture-resistant Polyurethane. These wheels allow the chair to be extremely easy to push and maneuver over difficult terrain including sand, grass and other offroad surfaces.
